RAPE

Dear World,

RAPE. What is rape? A word that creates fear in evey girl’s mind. A thought that makes this world a darker place. A source of entertainment for all those assholes out there. An action that makes a girl’s freedom and independence a reason for society to blame her.

Why? Why does society blame girls whenever they are raped? Why do people think that girls wearing short clothes are the reason for them to get raped? Why is the attitude of people so sick to think that late night travels for a girl are unsafe? Why does it have to be girls all the time?

There are so many rape cases where people only blame the girl. They say that it was late, why was the girl alone? Why did the girl wear such a mini skirt? Why did the girl even go to the bar? It’s obvious that she’s going to get raped if she does things like these?

We say we have democracy where everyone’s rights are protected. We say we believe in equality and justice and that men and women are all equals. Then why are we discriminated when it comes to rape? Why does no one ever blame the disgusting mentality and the low life thinking of those bastards who committed the rape?

They say girls shouldn’t leave their house after dark. Because we’re unsafe. But why are we unsafe? It’s all because of those rapists who are ready, waiting to pounce on a girl just like a lion pounces on his food. It doesn’t matter to them who the girl is, what is she wearing, where is she going. All they care about is their share of fun. But when we respond against these rapists, we are silenced by death. What is our fault then? Standing up for ourselves or living our life ourselves?

If you say that your laws are made to protect us then where are they? Telling us not to leave our houses after dark. Telling us no to wear short clothes. Telling us not to travel alone. But despite all these factors, the number of rape cases haven’t reduced even by a bit. The rapists still go around doonga what they want, rape followed by cold- blooded murders. To hell with these laws then. Instead of putting restrictions on us, why don’t you’ll fix the stupid heads of those bloody rapists. You’ll say you wanna make the world a better place, then where are the efforts? Letting those rapists be on their on the own without any punishment and threats. Are those your ways of making the world a better place? If yes, then I’m sorry to say that you’ll are worse than them. Covering up someone’s crime and letting them go off so easily. That’s a much greater crime than rape.

But it’s about time now. About time, we take the lead. Protect and preserve our rights. Fight for our freedom and stand up for what we believe. Now, if anyone tries to stop us, they’ll be equally as guilty as the rapists. And this time, WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP.
